2 dams to be removed from Green River (The Republican)

GREENFIELD - The state Department of Fish and Game has given priority status to the removal of two dams on the Green River. The designation was the result of an evaluation conducted under the agency's Riverways Program. Two other dams on the river will get fish ladders.

Governor signs $1.6 billion bond bill (The Republican)

BOSTON - Gov. Deval L. Patrick today signed $1.64 billion environmental bond bill that calls for upgrading state parks and dams, cleaning rivers, planning bicycle paths and buying open space across the state during the next five years.
